What a fantastic reception we had playing the Truro Blues Festival right in the centre of the city. Superb stage and PA but most importantly an amazing audience of music lovers proving that blues rock is very much alive in the heart of Truro city. There were faces from all over the county and beyond who had travelled to catch the great line up of blues acts throughout the day and no one left disappointed. Thank you Truro, we will be back in the next couple of weeks to rock you again at the Barley!

Once again the crowd at the Social Club in Constantine gave us a fantastic reception and proved they were in fine voice. Thank you to everyone for all the kind words and support – we will be back early next year for sure.

Another fantastic show at our favourite Falmouth venue, Finn M’Couls. A two hour set packed with blues rock classics marked the 12th show for the band and celebrated moving past the 10,000 play point for the Round 1 EP.

We’re heading back to our favourite Falmouth gig, Finn M’Couls on Saturday May 25th. Looking forward to a night of hard rocking blues – spread the word and get on down there!

A big thank you to all who turned out last night to the BKBB show at the Red Lion in St.Columb. It’s always a pleasure to play for such an enthusiastic audience and in such a great venue. We’re looking forward to coming back.

We’re back in the Constantine area on Saturday 27th playing at the Social Club in the village; a great venue with plenty of room. If you came to the Trengilly Wartha show and struggled to see the band due to the sheer volume of people crammed into the pub, this is a great opportunity to catch them again. You don’t need to be a member of the club to go and entry is free so if you’re after a great night of hard rockin’ blues this is one not to miss.

The band lineup was completed by Derek in late 2012 with rehearsals starting in earnest at the end of December as the Bare Knuckle Blues Band was born. Moving into 2013 things have moved along nice and quickly; the band has now played 7 shows around Cornwall and as far afield as the Great British Guitar Show in Birmingham. There’s a full summer of gigs booked throughout the county and we’re set to introduce new material as we go, starting with the shows at The Brit in St.Austell(20th April)and the Social Club in Constantine(27th April).

We’re in the final stages of recording 4 songs with John Cornfield(Muse, Supergrass, Oasis, Robert Plant) in preparation for working on a complete album later in the year. All 4 songs will be available to download free for those signed up to the regular band news(if you’re not signed up yet hit ‘band news’ at the top of the page).
