Rocking Up Party in the Park

It’s been busy busy busy this end, as we work towards getting our album written and recorded. It’s really coming on now, which we’re so excited about!

In the meantime, we’ve been trying to squeeze in some gigs as well, and we were really pleased to be asked to play St Columb Major’s “Party in the Park”. We’ve got a whole load of new photos, courtesy of our good friend Ash, and we’ll be posting those over the weekend, so if you missed it you won’t miss out, and if you made it you can remember the fun we had.

Have an awesome bank holiday weekend and enjoy the sunshine!

BKBB Supports John Verity

In case you hadn’t noticed, the Bare Knuckle Blues band has had a line-up shake-up and is now back with even more to offer! This year we’ve already lined up a load of gigs, one of which we’re particularly excited about. On Friday 10th June we’ll be supporting legendary producer and one-time singer in Argent, John Verity.  The earliest incarnations of the John Verity Band supported legends such as Hendrix, Mountain, Canned Heat and Janis Joplin, and since singing for Argent, John has produced, played guitar or provided backing vocals for various acts including Motorhead, Ringo Starr, Russ Ballard, Brian Connolly, John Parr, BowWowWow and The Searchers. More recently, John Verity has been dividing his time between his solo career and recording and touring with Keith Emerson (E
LP), Jools Holland, Mike Rutherford (Genesis), The Zombies and John Coghlan (ex-Status Quo).

New Inn and Bethel Social Club rocked!

Thank you to everyone who came out to both shows in and around St.Austell this weekend. Despite various members of the band struggling with the lurgy we made it through both shows and had a great time as well as making a lot of new friends along the way.

Next weekend it’s Truro and Falmouth’s turn and we’ll look forward to seeing you there.

Truro Blues Fest Knockout!

What a fantastic reception we had playing the Truro Blues Festival right in the centre of the city. Superb stage and PA but most importantly an amazing audience of music lovers proving that blues rock is very much alive in the heart of Truro city. There were faces from all over the county and beyond who had travelled to catch the great line up of blues acts throughout the day and no one left disappointed. Thank you Truro, we will be back in the next couple of weeks to rock you again at the Barley!

Truro here we come!

This Saturday 28th Sept we’re hitting Truro for the first time and playing at the Ale House, one of the city’s longest established music venues. Come along and join us for a night of hard rocking blues action.

Return match success at the Lifeboat Inn!

We hit St.Ives again last night to play the Lifeboat during the festival week and what a reception we received. A packed house, plenty of singing & dancing and happy faces all round. Absolutely great to meet so many new blues rock fans and share in the fantastic vibe of the festival. Thanks to the team at the Lifeboat for getting us in on such a busy week and huge thanks also to Alden Evans for stepping in to handle PA duties at such short notice.

Next stop the Ale House, Truro!

St.Austell Band Room Tonight!

If you’re up for some hard ‘n’ heavy blues rock get on over to the Band Room in St.Austell tonight!

Party in the Park & Trill Fest Rocked!

We had two fantastic open air gigs last week at St.Columb with Party in the Park and at Par for Trill Fest. A lot of fun had at both with some great audiences.

Next up, a foray back into Falmouth as part of festival week and we play Finns Saturday 17th August. Don’t miss it!

Party in the Park, St.Columb August 8th

Make sure you come along to Party in the Park at St.Columb on August 8th and catch new BKBB bass player Joe Hoskin at his first show with the band. The Bare Knuckle Blues Band hit the stage at 5pm and this show marks the start of the band’s next round of gigs throughout Cornwall.

Twelve down!

Another fantastic show at our favourite Falmouth venue, Finn M’Couls. A two hour set packed with blues rock classics marked the 12th show for the band and celebrated moving past the 10,000 play point for the Round 1 EP.
